Our group company Ken Corporation is a pioneer in greater Tokyo’s high-end lease market. As a successor of that DNA, we have applied marketing tailored to high-end lease residences to grow through our high-quality master lease business.

The needs of wealthy individuals, Japanese and non-Japanese alike, for premium residences are expected to continue on their robust trajectory in the future as well. Going forward, Ken Hotels & Resorts Holdings will intensify its efforts to be a presence that owners depend on as a premium property professional.

Additionally, kinetic changes such as baby-boomers easing into retirement from 2007 onwards and single households and DINKs continuing to increase principally among the so-called “bubble generation” that carries different sensibilities and ideals than the baby-boomer generation before it have triggered the gradual formation of new lifestyles. It is apparent that hotel and resort needs will also change substantially as well. Our goal is to get a head start in grasping those changes and transform existing hotels into resort facilities that meet the needs of the prevailing generation. The name we gave to our business brand for that purpose is the “Premier Hotel Group.” One of the defining characteristics of our hotel business is that we conduct a multi-brand rollout using both our own brands and the affiliation we have with some of the world’s most famous hotels. Another is our unique business model through which we leverage hot brands that meet the sensibilities of city dwellers so that they are the right brands in the right place. We already operate hotels through our affiliation with five world-leading brands.

Ken Hotels & Resorts Holdings will continue to expand its hotels while accommodating all kinds of needs, from luxury to business, and aim to encompass 12,000 guest rooms spread over forty facilities in the future. We will proceed to implement our operation and renovation skill, the top of its class in Japan, in cities and at resorts both domestically and overseas, and supply accommodations approved by the baby-boomer and subsequent generations, which have an abundance of travel experience.

The rise of high-end condominiums and residents in an outdated city will result in the considerable transformation and revitalization of its landscape. We are proud to claim that our residence business has contributed its fair share to premium urban development endeavors, particularly those in city centers. In its hotel business as well, Ken Hotels & Resorts Holdings intends to continue to its efforts to contribute to the revitalization of regional economics and the development of Japan as a tourism-oriented nation.
